Tyre defect gauge for (A) BG coaching stock, as per Railway board approved IRCA Part 4, Rule 2.8.4 and plate 38. To check the various wheel defect like Thin flange, Sharp flange, Deep flange, Hollow tyre / false flange, Root radius and flat places on wheel. The gauge must be suitable for checking wheel flatness 50 mm rejection limitand thin flange 22 mm rejection limit. Made of hard alloy steel/ stainless steel having thickness approximately 3 mm to3.5 mm with permanent making of the type of rolling stock which can be checked -Quantity = 4nos. (B) Tyre defect gauge for solid wheel for broad gauge stock, Plate 52; steel plate 3.2mm thick; see rule 3.3.5 & S 4.19.1 -Quantity = 04 nos. To be supplied with carrying case along with calibration certificate from Government approved test house; Make :- PIE or similar
