BOQ Item Description: Supplying, fabricating and erecting structural steel work, bolted or welded, conforming to IS 2062 (Grade E250, Quality B0) in built-up sections, trusses, frame work etc. for spillway walkway and monorail handling structure including straightening of raw steel (if required), cutting, making edge preparation, making connections at fabrication yard by welding / bolting, hoisting, fixing in position by welding / bolting, cleaning and preparation of all steel, storing, loading, transportation, unloading, delivery at erection site, maintening proper quality control, surface preparation for painting, erection, alignment and connections of all structures true to line, level, plumb and dimension including rectification, if any, splicing, applying a primer coat of approved make before erection and two coats of final paint of approved make after erection and final alignment, preparation of design drawings, fabrication drawings and erection marking drawings including bill of material, supplementary sketches, erection sequence drawings, taking approval of drawings from UCIL before procurement and fabrication of materials, all complete as per drawings, specification and direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Note i) All materials shall be from M/s SAIL, IISCO, RINL, TATA Steel and JINDAL from their own plants rolled from virgin material only. ii) Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts etc. shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the quoted rate. iii) Contractor shall supply copies of the documentary evidence of purchase of steel, test certificates from these manufacturers and also tests from third party, if required, to be arranged at no extra cost. iv) All holes will be made by drilling only. Gas cutting of holes will not be permitted.
v) Electrodes manufactured by M/s Advani Oerlikon, ESAB India, Indian Oxygen and DandH SECHERON only shall be used.
