Strengthening of sway member by welding with 8mm thick additional plate to pitted corrosion loation of existing member, using a grinder for levelling existing surface and provide suitable size plate to pitted corrosion location of channel section web portion and make a fresh weld using SMAW (shielded metal arc welding) technique and use electrodes as per IS 814:2004, DP test of welding etc., Welding work shall be carry out on bridges while the structure is under its dead load / during power block and allow the weld to set before permitting traffic on the bridge, All necessary arrangements for welding work like machineries, plant & tools. Including cost of manpower & consumable etc. complete the work as per drawing & direction of in-charge engineer.
