Item Title: Soil Investigation for Improvement to Living Accn of Guard Room at Guard Post No- 01 to 16 and Construction of 08 X Sentry Watch Towers Alongwith Gd Room with Attached Toilets at Od Fort, Allahabad
Item Description: 1. Drilling of bore hole of 150 MM bore dia 0 to 6 m from ground level through all types of soil excluding rock and rock like hard stratum according to IS-1902-1070 & 1948-1970 in all type of soil. 2. Conduction of Standard Penetration Test in accordance with IS specification (SPT) 21312/1981 at every 1.5M interval approx or as per the change of strata in each bore hole whichever is earlier. Testing shall be made at every change in strata or at the intervals of not exc 1.5m whichever is less. 3. Collection of disturbed & undisturbed soil samples at an intervals of not exc 1.5m. 4. Conduction of laboratory tests on disturbed and undisturbed soil samples after completion of boring as given below:- (i) Particle size analysis and soil classification (ii) Atterberg-s limits. (iii) Water content. (iv) Specific gravity. (v) Buld density and dry density. (vi) Direct shear (in case of sandy soils) (vii) Unconfined un-drained test (in case of clayey soils) (viii) C and O values (ix) Differential free swell test (in case of expansive soils) (x) Chemical analysis of soils and ground water for harmful salt and organic matter. 5. Transportation charges (up and down for equipment) 6. Submission of soil investigation report complete covering the following in quadruplicate:- (i) Bore log chart showing depth of strata and ground water table. (ii) Probable maximum and differential settlement. (iii) Calculations of safe bearing capacity from both shear and settlement criteria. (iv) Recommendation for suitable type of foundation.
