Sealed quotations are invited for the supply of carbon fiber strips for submerged artificial reefs at various locations along the Maharashtra coast. The carbon fiber strips must improve strength and ductility, have a high strength-to-weight ratio, and be resistant to corrosion. The specifications include tensile strength of minimum 4900 MPa, tensile modulus of minimum 248 GPa, density of minimum 1.8 g/ccm3, and elongation of 2%. The required materials include approximately 16000 meters of 50mm wide carbon fiber strip (3mm thick) and approximately 28000 meters of 100mm wide carbon fiber strip (1.4mm thick).
