The expansion of the apron was carried out in the year of 2009. The work of the pavement joint had been done before 2009. The DGCA inspected Bagdogra Airport and he observed gap filling material are coming out from the joints of concrete slab and need to repair in time bond manner. As per Engineering Works Manual Para No. 11.9.4, maintaining of pavement joint is to be carried out once in a year.Painting of apron and taxi link work also carried out last year as per Engineering Works Manual Para No. 11.9.4, painting of apron, taxiway etc. as decided by Airport-in-charge.
