Objectives and Purpose:The primary objective of the visit to India is to strengthen institutional and individual capacities to lead and sustain child-centered pedagogy and related teacher professional development in Sri Lanka, ulti mately improving learning outcomes in primary education and supporting the success of Sri Lanka's re forms. The selected partner will be responsible for: • Building the capacity of education officials to promote child-centred pedagogy that supports foundational literacy and numeracy that they can integrate in Sri Lanka's delivery of its teacher training roll out in line with the modules developed on the role of a primary teacher, multi-level pedagogy, effective use of teaching and learning materials, developing reading habits and digital skills. • Enhancing skills in designing and facilitating practice-based, interactive teacher training sessions. • Strengthening knowledge and exposure to effective approaches for mentoring, monitoring, and formative assessment for sustained teacher development. • Contributing to the initial outline of a national action framework for cascading teacher capacity development across provinces and zones. • Providing comprehensive logistical support to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of the study visit.
