Excavation in hard rock which requires controlled blasting sectioning to the profile, using required capacity of compressor of DTH ( IR Atlas, COPCO, Tamrock or other make ) with drilling machine capable of drilling of holes upto 3.0 m depth and diameter upto maximum 45 m m with contractor's fuel, operator, consumables with all contractor's resources like machineries, labours etc. including disposing of excavated boulder/rock pieces muck beyond worksite including track protection and safety measures for running trains as directed by Engineer-in-charge and working under traffic conditions. (The type of explosives to be used shall be of detonating fuse/D-cord (10 gms/m), cord delays (25 or 50 millisecond delay time) and plain electric detonator (ED) for controlled blasting). Note (1) The work of control blasting has to be executed under the supervision of M/s Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, Dhanbad or consultancy agency finalized by KRCL to execute the work of controlled blasting of hard rock. (2) Measurement will be based on cross section.
