Description:-Carrying out instrumentation of bridges for monitoring the effect of design speed and higher axle load for running of CC+8+2T/25T axle load wagons on bridge components i.e. superstructure, bearings with contractor's skilled / unskilled man power and other required resources including submission of report containing necessary data, analysis of data and recommendations in the form of a report as per break up given below: 1(a) (i)Preparation of numerical model and analysis of various load combination. (ii)Measurement, analysis and submission of report of various load coming on bearings. 1(b) (i) To be done twice i.e before and after the remedial measure recommended on the basis of instrumentation, (ii)Measurement, analysis and submission of report of dynamic deflection/strains at various critical locations of the superstructure and piers/abutments. (iii)Measurement, analysis and submission of report of dynamic acceleration and analysis to obtain the dynamic characteristics of the superstructure. (iv)Measurement, analysis and submission of report of tilt/deflections of piers /abutments. (v) Measurement, analysis and submission of reports of temperature at top and bottom of superstructure for estimation of temperature stresses using numerical model.1(c) Perform numerical structural modification studies to determine cost-effective rehabilitation /strengthening scheme design and drawings for bridges where instrumentation analysis indicates abnormality in the structure.
