Existing PVC/XLPE cable of various sizes which are already disconnected from the power supply are to be removed from existing pucca trench. All of them will be tested as per site requirements. The active cables should be separated from them and the faulty cables cutting in pieces would be deposited in the Scrap yard, PLW/PTA through transport/ vehicle & labour arranged by the contractor as per site requirement and technical specification. Note: The unit of measurement shall be in metres for the length of the trench (not for the length of cable). The contractor shall remove all dead cables (available in the trench), and payment will be made to the contractor on the basis of the per-metre length of trench cleared.
