Need based outsourcing of the following five works in SMS- A- Removal and cleaning of slag/metal jam from EAF. B- Need based maintenance of furnace bottom & clearing spill over slag in melt shop. C- Need based relining/patching of EAF at Melt shop. D- Preparation of reducing slag mixture in melt shop. E- Need based full lining of EAF-A, B, C for FY 2026-27
A-Shift 1.Removal of slag and metal jam (With the help of EOT crane, Hook & solid rods) over the water cooled panels, side wall and launder. Disposal of Slag/Metal jam at earmarked area in melt shop (Basement area in front of the furnace or as advised by the engineer in charge). 2.Chipping and removal of Slag/Metal over the hearth & banks of Electric Arc Furnace and launder. 3.Chipping and removal of eroded refractory bricks from Electric Arc Furnace and launder. Disposal of muck (Used refractory bricks, WRM, DRM etc.) at slag dumping area of SMS or as advised by engineer in-charge. B shift 1.Disposal of muck (Used refractory bricks, WRM, DRM etc.) if not disposed oï¬€ in A-Shift. 2.Clearing and placing of Slag Pots into the slag pits. 3.Chipping & thorough cleaning of hearth, banks of furnace after Re- lining. Disposal of muck (HD DRM, WRM etc.) 4.Removal of metal jam from the bottom of furnace with the help of EOT crane, Oxygen lancing and chipping., if found during chipping /cleaning of hearth and banks.
