BOQ Item Description: Material and labour for earthing complete with Galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6 mm mm buried directly in ground (Earth pit not less than 2.25m below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, connected to GI strip 32x6 mm as earth lead by means of bolt, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel, upto 7.5m length, earth strip protected by and including 40 mm dia GI pipe (light grade) and connected to main test point or body of pole pannel or lightening arrester of main controlling switch as directed including concrete pit in PCC (1 3 6) type C1, Precast RCC (1 2 4) Type B1 cover slab of size 54x54x5 cm reinforced with 8 mm dia TMT bars 100 mm C C both ways with one handle for lifting made out of 10 mm dia TMT bar embedded in precast cover slab, funnel, wire mesh, 20 mm bore GI Pipe (Medium Grade) for watering, Charcoal and salt in alternate layers of 15 cm (Compacted Thickness) around the earth electrode including necessary excavation, earth work in any type of soil and disposal of spoil to a distance n.exc 50 m and necessary testing complete all as shown in Electrical Plate No 3 of SSR Part I. NOTE 1. The unit rare includes for protectionh GI pipe of 40mm and watering pipe of 20mm bore including excavation for earth pit in any type of soil disintegrate rock. 2. Contractor has to bring agriculture soil from outside of defence land and fill in earth pit to acheive desired result as the soil resisitivity is very high. 3. The cost of GI strip of 32x6mm including protection pipe, from top of earth plate upto 7.5 meter above below ground level is deemed to be included in the unit rate. 4. All the joints in GI strip and connectgion with earth plate to be welded through brazing and in addition by providing double brass nut bolt and washer. 5.Costing of welding and nut bolts are deemed to be included in the unit rate
