Item Description: (a) Carry out inspection of reduction gears. Work involves:- (i) Open reduction gear cover (ii) Dismantle gearing system. (iii) Remove gears, clean, check backlash ( Recommended backlash between open gear and piniion shall be within 0.48 mm to 0.96 mm ), gauge and inspect for damage. Check for gear teeth. (iv) Undertake repairs as per inspection report (v) Refit reduction gear and take trials. (b) Flush gears with light flushing oil. Replenish gear box with SERVO 553 or 320 or SERVOMESH 28. ( Oil filling capacity of gear box is 105 litre approx )
