The ShivpuriSolar Park, proposed as a 1000 MW solar-plus-storage project by Rewa Ultra MegaSolar Limited (RUMSL), will be developed on government land in ShivpuriDistrict, Madhya Pradesh. The park will consist of multiple units combiningsolar panels with co-located battery energy storage systems (BESS), which mayalso be set up at a site arranged by the developer anywhere in India. Powerfrom the project will be procured by Madhya Pradesh Power Management CompanyLimited (MPPMCL), which has expressed its preference for assured evening peakpower supply (4 hours) during the six months from October to March. For theremaining months, a tie-up with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL)is planned. If an agreement with UPPCL is not finalized, RUMSL will explorealternatives, including partnerships with other state DISCOMs to meetcomplementary demand or full offtake by MPPMCL.IFC will beengaged by RUMSL to develop the 1000 MW solar-plus-storage project under thePublic Private Partnership (PPP) model. IFC-s scope of work will includetechnical, legal, commercial, and regulatory due diligence, advising on abankable transaction structure, and managing the bid process.Inthis context, IFC is seeking the services of a specialized team of Environment & Social(E&S) Consultant that will assist IFC with a Phase 0 assessment andsubsequent E&S scoping of the project, which will include review ofexisting environmental studies/ E&S documents and procedures, identification of key E&S risks, potential impacts and relatedmitigations, determination of applicable IFC E&S Performance Standards(PSs), site visit to undertake preliminary stakeholder analysis and identifyaffected communities, brief gap analysis of relevant E&S nationalregulation with the key requirements of applicable IFC PSs, and preliminarycost associated with closing the gaps and preparing ToRs for the ESIA andadditional E&S studies as required
