Item Description: Overhauling of 01 in no Emergency Alternator (415V, 3Ph, 180KW, Model-462L9C). Overhauling includes recording of insulation of stator, exciter, main field and rotor, prior to dismantling. Dismantle generator rotor including exciter assembly. Clean stator, Exciter assembly and rotor with distilled water followed by trichloroethyl, Dry with hot air blower and apply thin layer of quick drying thermal conductivity varnish. Paint internal / external parts of Stator /Yoke. Renew terminal lugs and insulator. Carry out SPM test and renew defective drive / non drive end bearing. Carry out functional checks of rotating diode assembly and space heater. Record insulation value of stator. Exciter and rotor winding. Carry out functional check of Space Heater. Carry out Load trails on completion of functional checks for satisfactory operations. Functional check report and load trials report to be handed over to Ship. (Maintenance schedule no. LP-04). Spares - CG supply. Material, heat resistant paint and bearing- firm supply. firm to provide trial report.
