Provision (Supply and erection) of Earthing station (RI-7021) as per Drg.No. ETI/ OHE/P/ 7020 or latest (The price shall cover supply and erection of an earth electrode (RI 7021) as per drawing no. ETI/OHE/P/7020. The price shall also cover the provision of a protective concrete Box with removable MS cover. The material should conï¬rm to ACTM vol. II Part II Para 7.1.1 with ï¬gure A 3.01. The price shall cover the testing of earth value and painting the value on the earth pit. The earth electrode shall normally be of mild steel galvanized perforated pipe of not less than 44 mm nominal bore and about 3 meter length provided with a spike at one end and welded lug suitable for connecting directly Earth wire/MS ï¬‚at of required size at other end. The connection of Earth wire/M S ï¬‚ats to each electrode shall be made through M S links by bolted joints, fasteners to be supplied by the contractor. The earth surrounding the electrode shall be chemically treated by alternate layers of ï¬ne charcoal and salt at least 150 mm all around. The item should be procured from approved supplier of CORE or RDSO, duly inspected by either RITES or Railway Representative deputed by Sr. Div.
