BOQ Item Description: Earthing of Building. Earthing should be according to IS 3043 B451987.
(a) Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60cmx60cmx 6mm th, buried directly in ground (Earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 m below ground level, connected to galvanized earth lead wire 4.0mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel and earth lead wire connected to main distribution board earth dolly. PCC Earth pit size 300x300mm, CI cover of size 45x45cm, GI tube 20mm 1.5m long for earth lead protection and GI tube 15mm dia 1.5m long for watering purpose GI funnel, salt & charcoal are covered the GI plate up to 15cm complete all as specified.
(b) Test point made of GI strip 32mm x 6mm, 10 cm long drilled and screwed with 4 Nos 8mm dia, 25mm long nuts & bolts and fixed in MS box of size 15cm x 7.5cm x 7.5cm deep made of 14 gauge sheet with open able hinged tap cover and locking arrangement. Box painted with two coat of synthetic enameled painted of approved colour over a coat of red oxide primer and fixed with suitable dash fasteners. All as specified or indicated including testing on completion.
