BOQ Item Description: Drilling of Borehole Boreholes will be made using rotary drilling and representative soil samples shall be collected form the boreholes at every one meter interval or change of strata full stop The diameter of boreholes will be one hundred fifty mm as per IS one eight nine two full stop The depth of bore holes shall be fifteen meter below the Existing Ground Level bracket EGL or up to the refusal comma whichever arrive earlier full stop Result shall be provided for intervals of one meter full stop The following shall be carried out full stop a Filed investigation shall be carried out on top of the ground level of each borehole shown as a drawing full stop b Standard Penetration test wil be carried out as per IS two one three one dash one nine eight one at one meter interval or change in strata full stop The SPT consists of driving split spoon sampler Sixty Three point Five kg hammer drop weight with free fall of Seven Hundred Sixty mm full stop The number of blows for every one fifty mm shall be recorded for a penetration of four hundred fifty mm
