Cleaning and disinfecting the under ground and over head water storage tanks as under: a)Dewatering of water in tanks using contractor's dewatering pumps upto required depth as speciï¬ed by the Railway engineer or his representative after removing ï¬‚oating materials like paper, plastic bags etc.)Cleaning of ceiling walls and bottom by mechanical means ie. by jet pressure technic (Hydro dynamic system) with pressure of 120 psi and more.c)Removing completely accumulated silt, mud, sludge and wash water completely by suction using high power suction pumps after agitating residuals in water by blowing under high pressure. This should be sucked by into contractors' tank and disposed oï¬€ as directed by the Railway Engineer. d)The walls, ceiling and ï¬‚oor of tanks shall be cleaned once again by jet pressure and dewatered and dried) Disinfectant of tanks in diï¬€erent stages using chemicals like bleaching powder, potassium permanganate etc. The rate shall include cost of materials, labour, tools, plants, consumables, power etc. with all lead, lift, heights etc. complete. Wherever contractor while cleaning the tanks spoils the surrounding area, the same shall also be cleaned and made up as it was before commencing the work. Payment will be made per litre for actual capacity of the tanks calculated based on linner measurement of tank and using conversion factor of 1000 litres per cum volume of tank.
