The objective of this assignment is to conduct diagnosticand scoping activities to map the Voluntary Carbon Market ecosystem in India, identify investment opportunities for IFC, via financial institutions or credit funds, in projects with high carbon-generatingpotential and aligned with IFC-sstandards. The analysis will inform programmatic support that delivers environmentalintegrity and socioeconomic benefits. IFC is seeking a consulting firm to conduct the assignment. The key components:1. Comprehensive VCM Market Diagnostic to provide a holistic assessment of India-svoluntary carbon market, including stakeholder mapping, policy review andmarket mechanisms (including any case studies). 2. Investment Opportunity Identification to determine which sectors and project typescan generate high‑integrity carbon credits and identify potential investment andadvisory opportunities for IFC.
