BOQ Item Description: The scope involves carrying out testing of thermal safety valve/ pressure relief valve/ surge relief valve of size upto and including 1 Inch (both suction and discharge). Valve may be flange ended or screwed. Valve may be flange ended or screwed. Valve shall be tested for successful performance of pop up and resealing at the designated/ rated pressure level, nil leakage, any other abnormalities etc. Testing shall be done either at terminal premises. However, the valve shall be returned to the owner within 12 hours of handing over to vendor, as the valve is in active line and long shutdown will not be permitted. Scope includes collecting valve from owner of site, shifting to testing location, testing using appropriate bench, taking note of observations, attending to any minor repairs like spring issue, performance of Pop up and leakage from seal if required, handing over the valve back to the owner, issue of test certificate in mutually agreed formats etc. complete in all respects. The gauges used during testing shall be possessing valid calibration certificates and a copy of the same shall be handed over to the owner for documentation. The dismantling of valve for testing and refixing after testing shall be in scope of the HPCL.
