Cable Fault Locator system consists of: surge generator, Pre Locator, CRT, Audio frequency r eceiver, operating frequency 2500 Hertz and Cable fault pin pointer including freight charges, insurance, et c and all other accessories needed to complete the job. The cable fault locator shall be capable of locating /detecting (open circuit/short circuit/low-insulation, earth type cable fault) all under-ground LT/HT transmiss ion and distribution (paper/oilfield/PVC/XLPE) power cable faults upto 11 KV network (1.1KV/2.2KV/6.6KV/11 KV/33KV). General requirement-input voltage analog voltmeter on panel, cables to be tested upto 33KV, pr e-locating of faults by (1) pulse echo/TDR method(2) Impulse current method, Surge generator voltage ran ge (kV) 0-32/1000J, Analog display of system output voltmeter anc ammeter, pin pointing, cable route traci ng with 10W transmitter, Supply voltage -230 V AC +/- 10%, 50Hz.The single phase measuring setup 5kV i nsulation tester to be supplied battery with mains operated.
