BITUMINISED GUNNY STRIPS OF WIDTH 18 CMS, AS PER SPECIFICATIONS :- 1) Base Material: Hessian cloth of 406 gms per sq. mtr. as per specification IS:2818/2015 [Amalgamating IS 2818 (Part 1 to 6) Third Revision]. or latest 2) Bitumen : Bitumen should be applied completely spread over as specified. The Bitumen content shall be 110 +/- 20 gm/sq. mtr. The Bitumen shall confirm to the requirements given in the table -1 corresponding to grade 90/15 of IS: 702/1988 (Reaffirmed year 2019) No. of amendments: 1. or latest Note: The Bitumen should be applied at suitable temperature of the fabric with the help of a mechanism set for reasonably uniform distribution. 3) Linner : Low density virgin polythene film of natural colour of such thickness that corresponds to its mass 23 g/sq. mtr. +/- 10% (100 gauges) as per spec. IS: 2508 of 1984 or high density polythene (HM- HDPE ) film of natural colour of IS: 10889/2004 (Reaffirmed Year 2016), of Amendments: 1, Gr.1 or latest of such thickness that correspondence to its mass of 12.5 g/sq. mtr.+/- 10% (50 gauges). NOTE: a) The polythene film to be used as surface liner or gunny strips should have smooth surface and should be free in holder, air bubble, fish eyes and excess wrinkles. b) Testing of bitumen content shall be done as per IS 8477/1985 (Reaffirmed year 2016) or latest. c) Width of strips : Minimum 18 CMs. Maximum 19 CMs.
