(The raw material, gum rosin, arrives in solid form, packed within thin metal barrels. These barrels are cut open to take out the raw material. The sample of opened barrel & its lid is shown in the attached photograph. Despite the minimal toxicity of gum rosin dust, the used barrels are classified as hazardous waste)
